Chromatic Duality

Brian Ambroziak - Fall 2025

This project proposes a fashion house for Dries Van Noten on the outskirts of Paris, linked to nearby fashion houses through a continuous runway. The design uses the idea of scaffolding as a structural and visual framework. Threads, cables, and woven elements are pulled through the scaffolding to create layered moments of color, density, and pattern. This approach reflects how Dries Van Noten builds his garments through embroidery, layering, and controlled detail.

The façade becomes a visible system of structure and textile-like insertions. The influence of Baroque contrasts and Indian textile heritage informs the color and pattern logic, but the expression stays grounded in a clear architectural system. The result is a building where the act of threading through structure becomes a direct architectural translation of Van Noten’s craft.
